Sayat Nova Ensemble in Decines

Naghash Ensemble in France

"Un Week-end à l'Est"
"Un Week-end à l'Est" is a multidisciplinary Parisian festival that showcases the cultures of Eastern Europe. For its 8th edition, taking place from November 20 to 30, 2024, the festival honors Armenia and its capital, Yerevan. The program features visual art exhibitions, film screenings, dance performances, concerts, literary events, and philosophical debates.
Artyom Minasyan & Narek Kazazyan
A special concert featuring two virtuosos of traditional Armenian music. Narek Kazazyan, a Qanûn player, distinguished himself at a young age with numerous international awards and a remarkable career, including collaborations with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the recording of his first CD, Mes Arméniennes, at the Palace of Versailles.
Rusan Filiztek at Le 360, Paris
For the release of his new project EXILS, Rusan Filiztek will perform at Le 360. A saz player, the long-necked lute of Asia Minor, singer, and musicologist, Rusan Filiztek has traveled extensively through music, from his native Anatolia to Istanbul during his adolescence, then to Iraq and Syria, where he explored their musical traditions, before arriving in Europe via Andalusia and finally making his way to Paris.

"Dune: Part Two" in Cinemas
"Dune: Part Two", released on February 28th and directed by Denis Villeneuve, marks the continuation of the adaptation of Frank Herbert's famous science fiction novel. This film follows the critical and commercial success of "Dune" (2021) and follows the story of Paul Atreides who, with the Fremen, seeks revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. The Duduk makes several appearances in the film's soundtrack, played by Pedro Eustache, bringing a distinctive touch to the desert and epic scenes.
Gevorg Dabaghyan in Germany
On February 28, 29, and March 1, 2024, the world premiere of Symphony No. 3 "In Shape of Singing Apricots" by Vache Sharafyan will take place. This piece, written for symphony orchestra and Duduk, was specially composed for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gera. The concert will be conducted by the orchestra's principal conductor, Ruben Ghazaryan, with a solo performance by People's Artist of Armenia, Gevorg Dabaghyan. The program will also feature works by Edgar Hovhannisyan and Aram Khachaturian.

Gurgieff Ensemble on European Tour
The Gurdjieff Ensemble is a renowned musical group named after Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff, an Armenian composer and philosopher from the early 20th century. Founded by Levon Eskenian, an Armenian musician and ethnomusicologist, its aim is to promote and preserve traditional Armenian music as well as the original compositions of Gurdjieff.
1000 Years of Armenian Music
The Blue Cross of Armenians of France presents the concert "1000 Years of Armenian Music," a unique encounter between traditional Armenian instruments (duduk and qanun) and classical instruments (piano, violin, cello). Nor Ashough to Paris and Jonage
Nor Achough performs the songs and melodies of "achoughs" such as Sayat Nova and Sheram, as well as contemporary composers such as Komitas and Kh. Avetissian. This set of traditional Armenian music and songs was created by music enthusiasts, including Agop Boyadjian, a pioneer of this art for more than 20 years in the Rhône-Alpes region and beyond. In a spirit of sharing and transmission, this formation, composed of 4 to 7 musicians, has chosen to return to the very essence of this music, which should not remain confined but open up to others, in particular young people.
