Introduction
After acquiring your instrument, you will notice that the Duduk, despite its apparent simplicity, is a demanding instrument. Without a musical background or prior experience with wind instruments, learning it can quickly become challenging.
For the most motivated, self-teaching remains entirely possible. Many amateur musicians are living proof of this. However, it is true that guidance from a teacher remains the preferred path: more structured, more pedagogical, and above all, it allows you to correct mistakes from the start, preventing them from becoming habits that are difficult to fix later.
This blog presents the different learning options for the Duduk: whether in-person, online, or through tutorials, you will find all the useful resources to start or improve.
Online Courses
With the rise of the internet and the increasing accessibility of computers equipped with microphones and cameras, taking remote lessons has become very common. This method is now one of the most popular: it offers great flexibility for both student and teacher and often requires little long-term commitment.
Online courses can represent a certain cost, especially when offered individually. However, bundled packages (course packs) are often available at more advantageous rates.
Courses via Pre-recorded Tutorials
Another option is to learn through pre-recorded video tutorials. This method has the advantage of allowing learning at one’s own pace without external pressure.
However, it also has limitations: the lack of direct feedback does not allow real-time correction of mistakes, and some technical concepts may remain unclear without personalized explanation.
La Maison du Duduk is currently working on creating pre-recorded video courses, which will be available soon.
