Sylvain Barou in Concert

Sylvain Barou is a multi-instrumentalist whose roots lie initially in Breton and Irish traditions (transverse flute, uilleann pipes), before opening up to the modal music of the East. Curious and exacting, he now masters instruments such as the Indian bansuri, the Armenian Duduk, the Turkish ney, and the mey.

Sylvain can be found performing across France, Belgium, and internationally, within various musical ensembles, where he also plays the Duduk and the Zurna.

Waed Bouhassoun Quintet

Waed Bouhassoun is a singer and oud player whose spiritual and humanistic art resonates with her Syrian cultural heritage. On this occasion, she is accompanied by singers and instrumentalists, some from the ensemble Orpheus XXI, which she co-directs artistically, a collective where Western music dialogues with Iranian, Armenian, Turkish, and Syrian traditions. Together, they present a brand-new project dedicated to the songs passed down to them by their masters and families during childhood.

To enrich this universal musical journey, the audience will also have the pleasure of hearing Artyom Minasyan on Duduk.

Cello Fan Festival

The Cello Fan Festival is an annual music event dedicated to the cello, held in the village of Callian in Provence. Since 1996, it has brought together professional and amateur cellists around a rich program blending classical, baroque, and contemporary music, under the artistic direction of Frédéric Audibert.

For the 2025 edition, taking place from July 4 to 6, the festival will exceptionally host Duduk master Gevorg Dabaghyan as guest of honor. His participation will mark a rare encounter between the Armenian musical tradition and the European classical repertoire, offering the audience a unique performance combining cello and Duduk in an intimate setting.

Dudukner Ensemble in Paris

Founded in 1998 by Georgy Minasov, the Ensemble Dudukner brings together a family of Duduks designed by the musician to expand the polyphonic possibilities of this Armenian instrument. Its repertoire blends liturgical music, contemporary works, and traditional music. Since 2020, the artistic direction has been led by his grandson, Georgi Minasyan Jr., who has a particular interest in medieval repertoires, bringing to life musical forms that are rarely performed today.

Artyom Minasyan on tour

Find Artyom Minassyan on tour in several cities across France and Europe alongside various groups: Canticum Novum, Deleyaman, and Kaldun.

He will also take part in the Francophone tour of the Symphonic Pop Orchestra, performing the soundtrack of the film Gladiator.

Finally, in June, he will perform in Yerevan alongside Jordi Savall and his orchestra.

Jazz Mazz in Paris

“Jazz Mazz” is a series of jazz concerts organized by UGAB Paris, aiming to transform the Alex Manoogian Armenian Cultural Center into a jazz club for an evening. These events highlight artists who blend Eastern and Western sounds, creating a unique musical experience.

For the first Jazz Mazz of 2025, UGAB is pleased to welcome the Alexis Avakian Folk-Jazz Band to the Alex Manoogian Armenian Cultural Center.

Join Artyom Minasyan on Duduk, accompanied by tar virtuoso Miqayel Voskanyan, Alexis Avakian on saxophone and flute, Leonardo Montana on piano, and Yoni Zelnik on double bass.

Artyom Minasyan & Narek Kazazyan

Special concert featuring two virtuosos of traditional Armenian music. Narek Kazazyan, a Qanun player, distinguished himself from a young age with numerous international awards and a brilliant career, including collaborations with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the recording of his first CD, Mes Arméniennes, at the Palace of Versailles. He will be accompanied by Artyom Minasyan, a Duduk player based in France. Together, they will offer a unique and timeless musical journey.

Rusan Filiztek at Le 360 Paris

To mark the release of his new project EXILS, Rusan Filiztek will be in concert at Le 360.

A saz player, the long-necked lute of Asia Minor, singer, and musicologist, Rusan Filiztek has journeyed through music, from his native Anatolia to the Istanbul of his youth, then to Iraq and Syria where he explored local musical traditions, before arriving in Europe via Andalusia and eventually settling in Paris.

Come and listen to special guest Artyom Minasyan on Duduk, who will join the group for several pieces!

Gurdjieff Ensemble on European tour

The Gurdjieff Ensemble is a renowned musical group named after Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff, an Armenian composer and philosopher of the early 20th century. Founded by Levon Eskenian, an Armenian musician and ethnomusicologist, its goal is to promote and preserve traditional Armenian music as well as Gurdjieff’s original compositions.
