Online Course – Rostom Khachikian

La Maison du Duduk

Introduction

As part of its mission to become a comprehensive platform dedicated to the duduk, La Maison du Duduk now offers online lessons conducted by our partner instructors. In this effort, we have developed an online learning program with Rostom Khachikian, a renowned duduk musician and instructor based in France.

About Rostom Khachikian

Trained in Armenia by esteemed masters, Rostom Khachikian has established himself as a leading duduk performer in France. Recognized for his technical expertise and the originality of his interpretations, he began his musical journey playing the dhol before fully dedicating himself to the duduk. His deep understanding of traditional Armenian instruments has allowed him to develop a unique musical style.

During the 1980s, he refined his craft through frequent stays in Armenia, studying under legendary duduk players such as Gevorg Dabaghyan and Georgy Minasov. With over 30 years of dedication and rigorous musical research, he has mastered the ability to convey profound emotions through his music.

Today, Rostom performs on various artistic stages in France, collaborating with film composers and musicians like André Manoukian, blending duduk with jazz to create a unique fusion of sounds.

Course Structure

To ensure transparency and a structured learning experience, we have developed a well-organized program with Rostom Khachikian. This curriculum outlines the different stages of duduk learning, helping students track their progress over time and set clear goals for 5, 10, or more lessons.
